Terry Fox Walk

Terry Fox was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 18. He decided to run across Canada, running a marathon a day for 143 days, to raise funds for cancer research. Unfortunately, Terry’s cancer returned and he was forced to end his Marathon of Hope, but his legacy had only just begun. Each year, in his memory, the Terry Fox run is held to continue Terry's goal.

Today, the future of cancer research is very bright. The Terry Fox Foundation funds a variety of different cancer research projects. With your support, we will continue to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

Our celebration of this important Canadian Hero will be held on Friday, September 22nd with a rain date of Thursday, September 28th. Wear your Terry Fox shirts or red and white in his honour! Kindergarten students will be walking on school grounds. Grades 1-8 will be walking off school property.

We are asking each student to donate $2.00 to this very important cause. Donations can be made directly to the Terry Fox Foundation using our school link:

Thank you for your support!
